Over the next few weeks, Charlottesville Tomorrow’s team will shift some focus to a fun Instagram photo project we are calling #CvilleGetOutside. Our reporters will safely get outside of their home offices and take photos of what’s happening in our community.

“People get their news from a wide range of platforms, and Instagram is one of them,” wrote News Editor, Elliott Robinson. “It’s also a fun way for Charlottesville Tomorrow reporters to showcase the community we live and work in.”

Local photographer Mike Kropf will share some of his professional outdoor photos on Charlottesville Tomorrow’s Instagram page. “The job of a newsroom is to keep the community informed, and photography plays an integral role in doing that,” wrote Kropf. “A good photograph portrays the story of a person, place, or event in a captured moment and honestly relays it to the viewer.”

If you are interested in adding to this community photo project, share your local outdoor photos on Instagram and be sure to use the hashtag, #CvilleGetOutside.
