Longtime Charlottesville Tomorrow Board Member Leigh B. Middleditch Jr. died peacefully at Hospice House Of The Piedmont on October 3, 2021. He was 92. Leigh served as a Charlottesville Tomorrow Board Member from 2008 through 2021.
Leigh was a retired partner of the McguireWoods Law Firm. He served as a Trustee for the Claude Moore Charitable Foundation, Chair of UVA’s Health Services Foundation, Virginia Health Care Foundation, Virginia Chamber of Commerce, Senior Lawyers Division of the American Bar Association and the ABA Board of Governors. He also served as a Director of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
In Charlottesville, Leigh served as Trustee of the Thomas Jefferson Foundation, President of the University of Virginia Alumni and Law Associations, Chair of the Charlottesville-Albemarle Chamber of Commerce, as well as a steward of community journalism with Charlottesville Tomorrow.
Leigh graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in 1951, and an LL.B. degree in 1957.
