On December 12, the Rio+29 Small Area Plan project team will be sharing three land use alternative maps and soliciting your feedback on which best achieves the community’s priorities for redevelopment of the Rio+29 area. The comments received at the community meeting will be used to develop a recommended land use map that will form the basis of the Rio+29 Small Area Plan, a guide for the form of future re/development. Please join us at this important event!

How did we get here? Back in September, Albemarle County invited you to share your vision for the redevelopment of the Rio+29 area. Over the past few months, we’ve pored over the comments received at meetings, events, and online to identify common themes and community priorities.

This process works best when we have many diverse voices join the conversation. We hope you will be able to attend this important event and also share this invitation with your neighbors, friends, and colleagues.
