Marcia Joseph
, the current Chair of the
Albemarle County Planning Commission
, has filed the necessary paperwork to become an official candidate for the
Board of Supervisors
. Ms. Joseph, a landscape architect, is expected to seek the Democratic nomination for the Rivanna District seat currently held by
Republican Ken Boyd
. Mr. Boyd
announced he was seeking election
to a second term in February.
Ms. Joseph was first appointed to the At-Large seat on the Planning Commission in 2004. In January 2006, the Board of Supervisors appointed her to a second two-year term that expires December 31, 2007.
