Mike Signer, Charlottesville’s newly selected Mayor, will begin holding monthly open office hours beginning in February.
Mayor Signer said, “This is about One Charlottesville. I’m holding open office hours because I want to listen and learn. In the months to come, I’m really looking forward to hearing ideas, concerns, and suggestions from across the City, and to making some new friends as well.”
The first office hour will be on Thursday, February 4th from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. at the Mayor’s Office in City Hall. The Clerk of Council will confirm future meeting times and locations on the City’s website and the Council’s Facebook page; please stay tuned.
Parking validation will be available for the Market Street Garage.
During the office hour, the Mayor will meet with citizens who wish to speak with him one-on-one about topics that are important to them.
Time slots will be available in 10 minute increments, and appointments may be made in advance by contacting Paige Rice, the Clerk of Council, at ricep@charlottesville.org or (434) 970-3113. While appointments are encouraged, walk-ins will be accommodated if time allows.
We appreciate your assistance in getting the word out to those who may be interested in this opportunity. Please understand that these are private meetings with the Mayor and are not a media event. If you have any questions, please contact Paige Rice, Clerk of Council.
