CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (June 9th, 2016) – Nominations are now open for the 3rd annual ‘Founding Cville’ Award. The Program honors contemporary Charlottesville founders who embody the Jeffersonian spirit of multidisciplinary creativity – in art, business, and civic leadership. The Founders portraits will hang from the lampposts lining the Downtown Mall throughout the month of September.
The public is encouraged to nominate candidates who have founded or cofounded their project, business, or organization in Charlottesville, and who have provided a positive example for the region with local, national or global impact.

Nominations close Friday, June 24th at 11:59pm.
The 2016 Founding Cville Recipients will be selected by past Founding Cville Recipients and the Tom Tom Advisory Board. These founders will be honored at an award ceremony during the Tomtoberfest Fall Block Party on September 23rd and 24th at Lee Park in downtown Charlottesville.

Tom Tom’s fall block party, Tomtoberfest, will be held September 23rd and 24th at Lee Park and will be the Festival’s 5th annual end-of-summer bash. The event will feature a two day concert series, a regional tech mixer, a mid-Atlantic craft fair, local food trucks, craft beer, and family activities.
