On WTJU’s Soundboard this week, Elliott and Emily talk with host Eliza Wilson about Opportunity Zones, the provision in the 2017 Federal Tax Cuts and Jobs Act that incentivizes investment in low-income neighborhoods. That provision has helped bring a second Hyatt hotel to the Shops at Stonefield but could also support the big affordable housing projects in town, like Friendship Court, which has an update on who will be able to live there.
