Phillip Seay (I-Jack Jouett)
Independent Phillip Seay is a candidate for the Jack Jouett District seat on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors.  Four of the six seats on board will be determined in the November 5 election. Other candidates in this race include: Diantha McKeel (I).

Bio: My campaign will focus on engaging and listening to the concerns of ALL  Jouett residents and taking those concerns to work with other Supervisors and County personnel to promote good sense public policy that keeps what is good and to find effective ways to bring about positive and necessary change. I will work to ensure that our tax dollars are truly being spent on the goods and services that our County government is duty bound to provide. I will work to attract and sustain employment opportunities that provide adequate income for a reasonable standard of living which promotes a vibrant economy.

Education: Ed.S,  Administration & Supervision, University of Virginia; M.Ed,  Sport Psychology, University of Virginia; BS, Secondary Education – Social Sciences, University of Virginia; AS, General Studies, Central Virginia Community College; Charlottesville Leadership Development Academy; The First Tee Executive Director Academy

Occupation: Executive Director/Director The First Tee of Charlottesville since 2006

Previous Political Experience: None as an elected official. 28 years of public service in Virginia’s state, county and city governments. Experience lobbying members of the General Assembly regarding the appropriate care and protection of residents in Virginia’s mental health facilities and appropriate salaries for law enforcement and classroom teachers.
