Members of the community made the case to the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors for a pedestrian bridge connecting the largely residential side of Pantops to the commercial area with the Giant grocery store. Supporters of the pedestrian bridge believe it will help reduce traffic on U.S. 250 and well as make Pantops more pedestrian friendly.
A pedestrian bridge in Lynchburg was referenced as a similar project. The Lynchburg bridge took six months to build at a cost of a little less than $2 million.
We’d like to know, do you support building the Pantops pedestrian bridge?
