At the 2013 Virginia Festival of the Book, Stephen Shepard was invited to share his memoir Deadlines and Disruption: My Turbulent Path from Print to Digital.

Shepard is the former editor in chief of BusinessWeek and is the founding dean of the City University of New York’s Graduate School of Journalism.

Shepard’s remarks included insights about his time at BusinessWeek, the challenges facing journalism today, and the potential of new approaches for the delivery of public interest media.  

Shepard’s appearance at the festival was sponsored by Charlottesville Tomorrow and this audio was recorded in CitySpace on the Downtown Mall.
