Some Virginia localities have students in non-voting positions on their local school board.  The University of Virginia has had a student on the Board of Visitors since 1983.  Even Charlottesville City Council is getting into the act, having created in 2012 a “Charlottesville Youth Council” to make recommendations on improving the city.

Should Charlottesville and Albemarle’s school boards add a non-voting student member to their ranks?
