Casey Alexander, a senior at Western Albemarle High School, has been awarded the 2017 NAACP/JMRL Internship and Scholarship.

The paid internship and scholarship, valued at $4000, is funded by the Friends of Jefferson-Madison Regional Library Endowment. This summer, Alexander will complete her internship at Crozet Library.

In the fall she will attend Longwood University where she plans to pursue studies leading to a bachelor’s degree in education.

JMRL Director John Halliday said, “Ms. Alexander is a bright young lady and we look forward to having her with us this summer. The Friends of the Library are delighted to help support her educational goals.”
