Richard Aguilar is an MBA candidate at the Raymond A. Mason School of Business at the College of William and Mary. He earned his bachelor's degree from James Madison University, majoring in Anthropology and minoring in Political Science and Latin American and Caribbean Studies. He began his career as a Corps Member with Teach For America, teaching four levels of Spanish at a Title I High School in Eastern North Carolina from 2013 to 2015. After transitioning to education consulting, he served as the Quality Control Manager at The Outreach Team, leading a team of remote bilingual administrators to maintain high standards of civic engagement and voter registration. A local community advocate, his previous roles include work with Teachstone, serving as a Safe Release Specialist vetting sponsors for undocumented individuals with Encircle, and working with Central Virginia Legal Aid's farmworker program, as well as serving as a financial empowerment coach for Southwood with Habitat for Humanity. Richard also served on the board of Charlottesville Tomorrow from 2018 to 2020.
