On May 3, 2006, VDOT’s Jim Utterback made his monthly transportation report to the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors. Of particular interest among the items discussed were plans to close Proffit Road for 60-90 days beginning June 12th to replace the railroad bridge; a detour and temporary traffic light on Polo Grounds Road; and funding problems for the Meadowcreek Parkway; and discussion of the implications for converting the blinking yellow light at Tilman Road and US-250 W to a full traffic light.
