WTJU and the UVA Career Center are presenting a talk with Charlottesville Tomorrow CEO and Editor-in-Chief Angilee Shah. Shah will talk about her 20-year career in international news, public media and nonprofit news.

Come meet Charlottesville Tomorrow’s CEO and learn more about careers in media. The talk is free and open to the public, no RSVP necessary.

Public Media Career Talk: Angilee Shah

Shah is an editor, mentor and coach for reporters, news organizations and journalism change-makers around the country. She specializes in building teams, budgets and editorial strategy for people and communities too often left out of media narratives. Shah spent six years as a founding editor of Global Nation, the national radio program The World’s coverage of immigration in the U.S. In one year she brought 50 new contributors to that program. As a reporter and editor, her work has been read and heard around the world, including a book about everyday lives in China and a trio of investigative stories about the end of Sri Lanka’s 30-year civil war.

She spent two years on the board of Charlottesville Tomorrow before joining its leadership team two years ago.
