Eric Trump, son of Donald Trump and president of Trump Winery, plans to build an 18-hole golf course on his property in Albemarle. The 18,000 square foot Albemarle House, which Trump bought along with its estate for $6.5 million in 2012, would become a clubhouse.
The land is currently under a conservation easement from the previous owners and Trump is negotiating with the Virginia Outdoors Foundation to get their approval for the golf course. Albemarle County would also have to approve a special use permit.
